Steven McPheeters Obituary
Steven Robert McPheeters Auto Parts Salesman My brother Steven Robert McPheeters was born June 19, 1970 in Visalia, CA to our parents Robert and Barbara McPheeters. He was the best thing they ever brought home to me! Steve grew up here in Visalia. Attended Conyer Elementary, Divisadero Middle School, and graduated from Mt. Whitney High School in 1989. From high school, he went to college, having started at COS and transferring and graduating from CSU Bakersfield in 1995 with a BA in criminology. With jobs being scarce in that field, he eventually went to work at Nissan of Visalia in the parts department over 7 years ago. This proved to be his dream job afterall as he loved Nissan 350z's. His passion for his cars grew into a club which he started several years ago. The Central Valley Z club meant so much to him. He loved every moment spent with so many dear friends that became like family to him. He raced and showed his car and received numerous trophies and prizes over the years. My brother never ever left so much as a gnat leg stay on the hood for long as he was constantly washing and waxing his blue baby! His last weekend was spent in Anaheim where he took first place at the MSA for his car. He was so proud and so were we all. He was truly loved by everyone he met. Steve was a kind, caring and gentle man. We will miss him greatly. He went to be with Jesus on May 1, 2012. He leaves behind our mom, Barbara McPheeters, of Visalia. His sister Michelle Ellis, of Visalia. And he leaves behind his three nieces- Sarah Ellis, Meghan Ellis and Kaleigh Ellis- who loved their Uncle "Teve" very much. And he leaves behind his doggie Rosie, who is quite sad without her buddy. Our father preceeded him in death in 1988. We are having a memorial service on Saturday, May 5th at 2 p.m. at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia, CA. Private burial.
