Walter "Keith" Davis Walter "Keith" Davis, 86, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012 in Visalia, California. Keith was a World War II veteran. He served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Hornett CV12 from 1943 to 1945. Keith was born in Jacksonburg, Indiana on July 3, 1926 to Walter and Rhoda Davis. He spent his early years in Jacksonburg and Richmond, Indiana. After returning from the Pacific war he met and married Olgia Lea Bandy in San Francisco on August 2, 1945. In 1959, he moved his family to California finally settling in Visalia in 1962. 1964, Keith received his high school diploma graduating in the first class of the Visalia Adult School. He was a master plumber for over fifty years, retiring in 1986. He was also partner in the "Now and Then Clock Shop" in downtown Visalia. Keith was a faithful member of the New Hope Valley Church (Valley Bible Church), and is now with his Lord and Savior. He enjoyed golfing, and traveling. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Keith leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 67 years, Olgia Lea of Visalia; his children, Richard Keith Davis (Pam) of Seligman, Missouri, Rebecca Jane Hoskins (Greg) and Rowena Ann Davis, all of Visalia; three sisters: Madge Morgan, Janice Redmond and Marilyn Fields, all of Richmond, IN; fifteen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Keith was preceded in death by sons, Ronald Lee on October 14, 1979 and Rodney Vern on September 22, 2012; two brothers, Joe Davis and Dale Davis of Richmond, IN; and two sisters, Betty O'Conner and Vera Mae Davis. Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 1 pm at Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia, CA.
