Johnnie Lee Grimsley Farmer Johnnie Lee Grimsley went to his Eternal and Heavenly reward on Monday, November 12, 2012, at the age of 92. Johnnie was born in Caraway, Arkansas in 1920. He was married for 67 years to Daisy Bailey until she passed away in April of 2011. They moved to Exeter California in 1945 where they raised their three children. Johnnie was a rancher in the Exeter area. He faithfully attended the Exeter Assembly of God Church, First Assembly of God of Visalia, and the Tulare First Assembly of God. He committed his life to Christ in 1947 and served the Lord faithfully ever since. He spent a number of years in the ministry, building a church in Gila Bend, Arizona in 1955. Johnnie was a friendly and generous man who made friends wherever he went. He was most proud of his family and loved his loyal dog Hercules. Each season he loved growing beautiful tomatoes and enjoyed building bird houses. He is survived by his son John Grimsley and wife Barbara of Visalia, Eddie Grimsley and wife Cindy of Exeter, and daughter Jeanne Lansford and husband Mike of Visalia. His son Dennis Dean Grimsley preceded Johnnie's death. Johnnie also had 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Evans Miller Guinn Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel.
