Domitilo Lupercio On the early morning of December 29, 2012, Domitilo Lupercio (Dom) peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Juchipila, Zacatecas, Mexico on July 26, 1926 to Candido and Rafaela Rueda Lupercio. His family traveled back and forth from Mexico to the US during the depression in search of a better life. Living this type of life he was only able to acquire a limited education, never being able to complete a school term. He stressed to his son and granddaughters the importance of an education. After his father's death at a young age he took care of his mother and sister until settling in Woodlake in the late 40's. He married Maura Alvarez Ruiz in Reno, Nev. on Aug. 6, 1950 and was married for 51 years. In 1950 he took a job with Peltzer Citrus Groves in the Ivanhoe/Woodlake area for 43 years. After retiring he became an avid golfer having made two hole in ones at a local golf course.. The couple made their home in Woodlake for 54 years. The thing he loved the most was spending time with his granddaughters Dominique, her husband, Simon, Nadia, Sasha, and two beautiful great grandchildren Sebastian & Demi. His family and friends are deeply saddened by this enormous loss. We will dearly miss his smile, jokes, along with his personal opinion on life and politics. He was a member of the St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church of Woodlake. Domitilo will now join his beloved wife, the late Maura Lupercio as he enters the gates of heaven. He is survived by his only son, Xavier Lupercio and wife Margaret of Visalia, granddaughters Dominique Lupercio-Villalobos, her husband Simon Villalobos of Clovis, Dr. Nadia Lupercio of Visalia, Sasha Lupercio of San Francisco, and two great grandchildren Sebastian and Demi Villalobos. Rosary was prayed at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan 2, 2013, at Salser and Dillard 127 East Caldwell Ave, Visalia, CA. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday January 3, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Visalia District Cemetery.
