Steve Alipaz Jr. Steve Alipaz Jr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away December 29, 2012. He was in the excellent care of Kaweah Delta Hospice and surrounded by his wife and family leading up to that time. Steve was a life long Visalian born June 6, 1926. He attended schools in Visalia ending at Visalia High School and was a member of the class of 1944. He served in the US Navy during WW II. His father was Steve Alipaz Sr, of Visalia, and his mother was Flavia Maldonado of Maricaipa County in Arizona. Steve and his wife of 65 years Irene, enjoyed attending many different Christian churches in the Visalia and Tulare area. Steve and Irene were married in Reno, Nevada on July 19, 1947. Steve was a member of the Visalia Elks Lodge and the Sierra View Men's Golf Club where he spent many of his best days with friends. Steve was preceded in death by his daughter Vickie, brothers Dan Alipaz of Hollister, Ca and Alex Alipaz of Fresno, Ca, sisters Fay Sharp of Southern California and Helen Rangel of Canoga Park, Ca. Steve is survived by his wife Irene, son Mike Alipaz and his wife Carol Alipaz of Visalia, daughter Rhonda Matthews and husband Randy Matthews of Bend, Oregon, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and well as many dear nieces, nephews, and friends. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, that donations to
be made in Steve's name. If you do not have
, they request that St. Jude's Hospital would be a wonderful choice to remember him. A Memorial service will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 11:00am.
