Juan Clemente Hernandez Juan Clemente Hernandez of Woodlake passed away on January 27, 2013 at the age of 79. Juan was born on November 23, 1933 in Alamo, Texas to Juan & Aurora Hernandez. He was known to many of his friends as Clemen. Juan's beloved wife, Irene, of 55 years, passed away February 2011. Juan was a retired farm laborer, and would do any type of work including fighting fires as an Emergency Firefighter in the mid-seventies with the Sequoia National Forest. Juan served his country enlisting with the United States Navy. He was assigned to the USS Washburn (AKA108) Company 55-650, and was Honorably Discharged on December 5, 1961. Juan is survived by five daughters: Aurora H. Medina, Maria H. Ponce (Dennis), Dalia Diaz all of Woodlake, Brenda Lee Correa (Moy), and Juanita Eslinger of Visalia, and three sons: Jesse Hernandez (Elsa) of Fresno, Clemente Hernandez (Arlene) of Visalia and Johnny Hernandez of Exeter. His grandchildren include: Elijah Hernandez, Danielle Correa, David & Malina Torrez all of Visalia, Vincent Treas, Richard L. Diaz, and Myra Ponce of Woodlake, Alex Treas of Clovis, Anthony Hernandez of Exeter, and Jesse & Claudia Hernandez of Fresno. Juan is survived by one sister, Juanita Aguilar (Ezequiel) of Del Rey, Jesse Hernandez of Fresno and Juventino Hernandez of Texas and was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Ramiro M. Hernandez, son-in-law Richard M. Diaz, daughter-in-law Lisa Hernandez, and sister-in-law Olivia Hernandez. The Holy Rosary will be prayed at Miller Memorial Chapel in Woodlake on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 6:00pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 9:00am. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 from 4pm until 6pm at Miller Memorial Chapel of Woodlake. Burial to follow at Woodlake Cemetery.
