Sharon Harms Davis Born 10/3/1930 -Deceased 2/15/2013 Our loving mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on February 15, 2013, with her family by her side. Sharon was born on October 3, 1930 in Elk City, Oklahoma. Her family moved to Reedley, CA where she spent her childhood years. She moved to Santa Monica, CA as a young woman where she married and raised her only son, Gary Davis. In 1975 when Gary entered the US Navy, Sharon moved to Visalia, CA and reconnected with an old friend, Joseph Rhodes. Sharon and Joe enjoyed many years together traveling and working in her yard. Sharon was an amazing gardener. Her home was a labor of love and you could always find her planting or pruning something. If you were counted as a friend to Sharon, you were fortunate because she loved well. She thought the world of her twin grandsons, and loved to take them camping and fishing. She created many wonderful memories for her boys. The family would like to especially thank wonderful friend and caregiver Donna Comstock for her devotion to Sharon this past year. Also, Kaweah Delta Hospice for their loving care and support during Sharon's final days. Sharon is survived by her son, Gary Davis and wife Sheri, Grandsons Jacob and Jerred Davis. Nieces, Cathy Lewis, and Karen Mraz. Nephews, Jim Harms and David Harms. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dale Harms, and her best friend and companion, Joseph Rhodes. A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, February 22, 2013 at Reedley District Cemetery. Condolences may be e-mailed to email@example.com
