Richard Allen Carlton It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Allen Carlton on February 8, 2013, at the age of 49. Richard was born July 20, 1963 in Hanford, CA. and resided in Fresno CA at the time of his death after a 5-year cancer battle. Richard grew up in Lemoore, CA with his parents, Margaret (Brooks) Carlton and Larry Carlton along with his brother Doug Carlton. A celebration of Richard's life took place February 11, 2013 that included the three things Richard enjoyed the most: family, friends and food. Having never met a stranger, Richard's absence will be felt by all who were fortunate enough to have spent time in his presence. Richard's love for the outdoors was evident by the many photos of family fishing trips on display at his memorial celebration. Second only to family, Richard enjoyed nothing more than the challenge of a rising trout in an alpine lake or rushing waters. His love for fishing, especially, is one family and friends will annually memorialize as we forever celebrate the life and love of our passionate angler. Richard enjoyed time spent with his three children:Bradley, Tess and Christian Carlton. His favorite pastime was spoiling his grandchildren: Bella, Monroe, and Addison, which he managed to do often. Richard, by trade, followed his grandfather's (AJ Carlton) construction profession. His passion for design / build projects are forever cast as evident of his many skillful talents. Richard touched the lives of those who knew him, both professionally and personally, and his giving spirited will be greatly missed. Richard is survived by his parents, Larry and Margaret Carlton, his brother Douglas Carlton, his children: Bradley, Tess and Christian Carlton, and his grandchildren: Bella, Monroe, and Addison.
