Mary Ooley-West Mary Ooley-West died March 20, 2013 in Visalia, CA at the age of 95. She was a retired teacher and librarian and resided in Exeter, CA. She was born in Borden, Indiana April 13, 1917. Besides teaching and being librarian she wrote a children's book titled "The Little Cowboy, participated in a Mrs. America pageant, presented a program to Tulare County Schools for the Humane Society and taught yoga long before it's recent popularity. She was married to Arlan Ooley of Exeter until his death in 1988 and was later married to Charles West (deceased) of Exeter. She is survived by son Steve Ooley of Exeter, daughter Arlene Powdrell of Visalia, son in law Tom Powdrell of Visalia, grandson Griffin Powdrell of Visalia and brother Merle Knuckles of Clarksville, Indiana. Services will be held at the Exeter Church of Christ located at 320 E. Firebaugh on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by Smith Family Chapel, Exeter.
