Ruby Cox Obituary
Ruby Aurelia Cox Ruby Cox, 85, of Visalia, went home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2013. She was born in Lamesa, Texas on March 22, 1928. Her parents moved the family to Tulare, California when she was 10 years old, where Ruby many years later graduated from Tulare Union High School. On February 2, 1946, she married her high school sweetheart, Jim "Pete" Cox in the Methodist Church in Tulare. Ruby and her daughters traveled all over the world with her husband, who was a career Army officer. A model military wife, Ruby was a patient and loving wife and mother. In 1989, when her husband retired, they moved to Visalia, making it their permanent home. All of those who knew Ruby loved her, and she will be greatly missed. Ruby was preceded in death by her father and mother, Jack and Altha Corley, her husband, Jim "Pete" Cox, one sister, Elwanda Epler, her brother, James Dewaine Corley, a niece, Barbara Louise Jackson, and one grandson, Paul Matthew Sargentini. Ruby is survived by her daughters, Cheryl, Kathryn, and Lynn, seven grandchildren, Kimberly, Kirsten, Bianca, Michael, Skylar, Jesse, and Santos. She is also survived by one sister, Jackie Jackson, and six great grandchildren, Christopher, Jessica, Isabella, Lilliana, Xavier, and Charles Rush, and many nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at a later date by the family. I am home in Heaven, dear ones: All's so happy, all's so bright! There's perfect joy and beauty In this everlasting light. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871, or to Kaweah-Delta Hospice of Visalia.
