Juanita Mae Reel Stevens Obituary
Juanita Mae Reel Stevens Juanita Mae Reel Stevens, beloved Mother and Grandmother was welcomed into Heaven on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 in Plano, Texas. Born on August 30, 1924, Juanita was the oldest of 5 children. She married Otto Reel on September 03, 1946 and they had one daughter Bess Gault. They moved to Woodlake, California in 1951 where she lived for 57 years. Juanita served on the Woodlake City Council and volunteered at the Senior Citizens Center for several years. After Otto's passing in 1972, Juanita remained in Woodlake where she would later meet and marry Elbert "Steve" Stevens on August 21, 1980 and they lived a full and happy life until his passing in 2008. Steve loved and cared for Juanita through her battle with Alzheimer's and he continued to adore her until the day he died. She had a passion for cooking, sewing, the color red and her family. She always believed in working hard, taking care of your family and your responsibilities. She truly was an amazing woman and will be sorely missed. Her family values each and every minute they were able to share with this remarkable woman. Juanita is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bess and Mike Gault of Allen, Texas; granddaughter and her husband, Tiffany and Philip Wiggins of Sherman, Texas; grandson, Matthew Gault of Plano, Texas; one brother, Clyde Ragland of Joplin, Missouri; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Juanita was preceded in death by her first husband, Otto Reel, second husband, Elbert "Steve" Stevens, parents, two sisters, one brother and her beloved dog Snoopy. Juanita will be laid to rest in Woodlake Cemetery. The family is holding a graveside service on Friday, April 12 at 1:00 PM. Tributes and condolences may be made at www.millerchapel.com.
