James (Jim) Henderson James Henderson was born in Las Vegas, Nevada to Ed and Elvira Henderson. He passed away on April 12, 2013 in Tulare at the age of 75. James attended elementary schools in Las Vegas and Hanford. He graduated from Hanford High School, received his AA at College of the Sequoias, teaching credential from Fresno State College, and master's degree from Bakersfield University. James retired from Tulare City School District after 39 years serving as teacher and principal. After retirement he worked as an educational consultant with many schools in California. For a period of time he took his expertise to Washington D.C. and North Carolina. He served the last few years as a Board member for Tulare City School District. He is survived by his wife Irene, Children Todd and Traci (husband, Lupe) and grandsons James and Richard. He leaves his brother Ed (Marie) and sister Carol Sue along with nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at North Tulare Cemetery at 10 am on Monday, April 22, 2013. Arrangements will be made with Miller's Tulare Funeral Home.
