J.E. (James) White Retired Business Owner J.E. White passed away in Yuma, Arizona, surrounded by loving family and friends, at the age of 85. He was born August 28, 1927 to Mary and J.E. White Sr. in Fort Smith, Arkansas and the family migrated to California where J.E. learned his business and driving skills working for the family trucking business. J.E. served in the air force from 1945 to 1947. It was after his discharge from the service that he met and married the love of his life, Joy. Together they settled in Selma, CA to raise their three sons and two daughters. Together J.E. and Joy owned and operated the Lone Star Inn and Flintstone Club in Selma, CA. They later owned and operated Bud N Lils in Fresno, CA and Flintstone II in Cutler, CA until moving to Visalia to own and operate the family run Mexican restaurant and nightclub Senor Flintstone (later named El Presideñte) for 32 years, until his retirement. J.E. loved people and made life long friends in the business community and RVing in his bus all over the country. He loved hunting and fishing and his favorite fish story was of the year he caught a 255 lb halibut in Alaska and a 59 lb salmon in Oregon, all in the same year! He was also an active member of Visalia Elks Lodge 1298. J.E. is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Joy, son Chuck White (Becky), daughters Laura Kennedy (Byron), Katherine Light, daughter-in-law Debbie White, 10 grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sons Chris and Terry White. At the families request, a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Yuma, Arizona.
