Luther Dewey (LD) Danley Jr. Luther Dewey (LD) Danley, Jr. passed away on April 10, 2014 in Barstow, CA. Born October 30, 1921 to Luther and Viola Danley in Mulberry, Arkansas. He married Vivian Rae Brooks, also of Mulberry, Arkansas on November 26, 1943 in Glendora, CA. LD served in the U.S. Navy during WWll. LD and Vivian moved to Porterville after his duty in the Navy and then to the Visalia-Ivanhoe area a few years later. He worked in farming in the Tulare County area most of his adult life. In retirement, he and Vivian moved to Barstow, CA. He loved growing things and always had a garden. LD was preceded in death by his wife Vivian. He is survived by his son Danny Danley and wife Sharon of Barstow CA, daughter Teresa Parrott and husband Robert of Visalia CA, grandchildren Greg Giraudi and wife Meredith of Ladera Ranch CA, Michael Danley and wife Aimee of Barstow CA, Amber Baskin and husband Aaron of Spring TX, Tami Lowe and husband Michael of Muncy PA, Jennifer Parrott of Inglewood CA, Kristina Parrott of Tulare CA, Eight great-grandchildren, sisters Janice Williams and Darlene Hartman of Visalia CA and brother James Danley of Stigler OK. A "Celebration of LD's Life" will be held at the Visalia home of Teresa and Robert Parrott from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday, April 26, 2014. LD will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery.
