NANCY SMITH 10/05/1945 - 5/21/2013 Nancy was born in Hedrick, Oklahoma and moved to Barstow as a young child. She now rests in heaven after losing her courageous battle with cancer. She is an inspiration to us all. Nancy is survived by her three children Curtis Smith, James Smith and Amy Rodriguez. She also leaves behind five grandchildren. Nancy's contagious smile and warm heart have made her many friends and she will be missed by all. Nancy loved to sew and quilt. She leaves behind many beautiful memories for us to share. We will be having a celebration of her life at a later date and together we will share in the joy and beauty that she left behind.

50 years ago my cousin brought his girlfriend to our Grandfather's funeral, she was 17, I was 15. She became my cousin through marriage and I have loved her all those years, watching her get married, excitedly meeting her three babies and getting to know her five wonderful grandchildren who she loved dearly: Maria, Corey, Logan, Nash and Jerod. Nancy is truly missed but we are all better people for having known and loved her.
My love to you all.

To the wonderful Family of Nancy,
I had not been in a lot of contact with Nancy as the years passed us by. We sure got our kids through Hinkley School years ago. I would see her and she always had a big smile on her face. We will see you again my friend

Amy, Curtis, and Jim my heart is with you in this time. Nancy is among a very strong army in heaven. She hurts no more, she fears no more, and no longer is she sad. She is one of the toughest LADIES that I will remember in our local Scouting community. I am blessed to have known her as well as your entire family. May you find peace in knowing that she is watching over you all now.

My mom went to high school with Nancy and loved her to pieces. Her smiling face at Del Taco was something I looked forward to at each visit. Prayers and big hugs to all of you.

Amy and family, I am sending you hugs and prayers. It is times like this I do not like being far away. Barstow has lost another "Good one" but Heaven has gained her now ! I did not get out to see your Great Grandpa on Memorial Day. I always wave when I drive by the cemetery. I will forever see Nancy's smiling face and hear her laugh.
