Carol Ann Fleming

CAROL ANN FLEMING 6/23/1937 - 7/15/2013 Carol was born in Tyler, Minnesota to William and Helen Truckenmiller who preceded her in death as well as a sister Gloria Haiwick. She graduated from high school in Lake Benton, Minnesota and attended college at South Dakota State University receiving a BS degree in Home Economics in 1959. She taught Home Economics and spent many years teaching pre-school children in both Yorba Linda and Thousand Oaks CA. Her compassion, kindness and dedication touched the lives of many young children. After moving to Apple Valley in 1996, she spent over 15 years volunteering at St. Mary's Medical Center visiting patients, assisting at fundraisers and helping the Foundation. She truly made the world a better place. She is survived by her loving husband, Neil, of 54 years, a brother, James and her three children Mike Fleming, Steve Fleming, and Tricia Harper along with eight grandchildren. She loved to cook for her family and visit with friends. She will be honored with a funeral mass at Our Lady of the Desert Catholic church in Apple Valley followed by a reception at the parish hall and then a gravesite service for the family. Cancer took her body but her spirit is with us forever.
