Chongsun Yun

CHONGSUN YUN 7/25/1948 - 9/12/2013 Chongsun Yun, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at Loma Linda University Medical Center on September 12, 2013 with family by her side. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Kwihan Yun; their 5 children: Kathy Yun, Diana Mathieson, William Yun, Mary Hill, and Robert Yun; and 4 grandchildren: Eric Mathieson, Stephen Yun, Ashley Yun, and Jamie Hill. Chongsun was born in South Korea on July 25, 1948 and moved to Apple Valley in 1982 with her husband and children. Before retirement, Chongsun and Kwihan had owned Yun's Produce and Market in Apple Valley / Victorville, San Jang Korean BBQ in Victorville, and Korean BBQ in Barstow. She was a natural leader and an optimist, who was always energetic, passionate, and a beacon of inspiration to her children. She was a constant source of encouragement and gave unconditional love to her family. She also loved to help others in need, as she gave tirelessly of her time, energy, and gifts to her church. Even though her time here was short, she will forever be in the hearts of all who loved her. A private ceremony will be held at Sunset Hills Memorial Park to honor her at her final resting place.
