JACK S. BRUNNER 10/19/20 - 4/22/14 Jack Brunner 93 of Barstow, passed away on April 22, 2014. He has lived in Barstow for 10 years, but lived in Tucson, Arizona all his life before moving to Barstow to be with his family. Jack served in the US Navy as a Chief Machinist and diver. He joined the Navy Reserves after WW2. After the Navy, he worked in construction for most of his career as a heavy equipment operator and batch plant operator. He loved to swim, and was a long time member of the Tucson YMCA. After retiring, he went into business for himself as "Happy Jacks Repair Service". He was a great cook, had a crazy sense of humor, loved to pull pranks and tell jokes and had an amazing memory. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Evelyn Brunner; sister, Evelyn Durnil; and wife, Betty Lou. Jack is survived by his daughter, Gail Johnson (Michael); and granddaughter, Wendy Valdez (Rick); and great- grandchildren, Ricardo, Matthias, Elyanna, and Analucia, all residing in Barstow. Services will be held at Evergreen Mortuary at 11 a.m., on May 3, 2014 in Tucson, Arizona.
