John Richardson Wardlaw Jr.

JOHN RICHARDSON WARDLAW JR He left us on Nov. 14th, 2013, which was his 93rd. Birthday. Born in Los Angeles, Ca. he attended Van Nuys High School and UCLA. Drafted into the Army he served proudly in WW11 as a Technical Sergeant in the Rhineland Campaign. He was a decorated combat veteran with many honors including the Bronze Star and WW11 Victory Medal. He married Ludmilla (Lucy) in 1972 and was blessed with 41 years of a happy life together. After the service he worked as a Hydraulic Pneumatic Engineer until he retired at age 70. After retirement they became owners of the Alfa Queen Ranch in Hinkley, Ca. where they worked side by side raising alfalfa & livestock, moving to Victorville, Ca, in 1983 where he lived the remainder of his life, passing with comfort; Lucy and family by his side. He is survived by wife Lucy, sons, Bruce & Kirk, daughters, Lorraine, Jennifer, & Cheryl, numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Brian who was lost to cancer. Family & Friends will honor his life at home Sat. Nov. 23, 2013. This will include Full Military Honor ceremony, 21 gun salute, bugler playing taps, veterans and servicemen from branches of the Armed Forces and presentation of the American Flag to his widow. In lieu of flowers if you wish please make donations to Veterans Programs or of your choice in his honor. Thank You from our family. Rest in Peace Brave Soldier, Devoted Husband & Father.
