JOSEPH "JOE" RICHARD TRAD Joseph "Joe" Richard Trad July 10, 1948 to October 12, 2012. Our beloved father, Joseph "Joe" Richard Trad passed away on October 12, 2012, in Victorville. He was preceded in death by his father, Selim "Sam" Trad, his mother, Camelia Reshaw Trad, and sister, Christina Trad Twing. Born in Hollywood, California, the second of three children, Joe was considered Sam and Camelia's "miracle baby" as Camelia was a 41 year old mother who suffered two heart attacks during her labor with Joe. God had other plans for mother and child, however, and Joseph was born healthy and Camelia went on to deliver her third child, another son, three years later at age 44. Joe lived most of his life in Barstow. He was employed at the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Barstow for over 25 years. He was a supervisor in Materiel Division at the Yermo Annex for many years before his retirement. He loved his job and especially liked mentoring his fellow employees. Even before he retired, Joe needed to stay busy. His interests included: computer programming and repair; carpentry; automotive repair; and cooking. Joe could fix almost anything and liked to think he was the king of chocolate chip cookie makers. He was also a huge fan of classic rock and roll music. He loved dogs and enjoyed teaching them obedience training with a firm but gentle hand. Joe had a kind and generous heart and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Joe is survived by his daughter, Jolee Bonilla of Apple Valley, and her children Nicholas and Brandon. He is also survived by daughter, Joetta "Missy" Blake of Barstow, son-in-law, Michael, and children, Brittany, Alexander, and Joetta's step-son, Matthew. Joe also had a beautiful, almost one year old great granddaughter, Braelynn, whom he adored. Other survivers include his brother, Selim "Sammy"Trad, and his wife, Suzanne of Redlands. Joe also left behind three nieces, two great nieces, four great nephews, and many friends. Services, followed by a reception, will be at 2:00 p.m. on November 3, 2012, at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley. We welcome and thank Father John Fahnestock of Holy Family Catholic Church as our officiant. I love and miss you so much Daddy, but I know you're with me every day. It's been 7 years. Seems like yesterday we were arguing and laughing. You were always trying to teach me some new interesting fact you'd discovered. I love you!

Jolee & Missy, I was so saddened when I received the news about your dad. Joe was my supervisor from 1989-2000, and he was one of the best that I had. And, yes his chocolate cookies were the BOMB!!! I pray that God will comfort all of you during this difficult time. He will be greatly missed. Venita
