PATSY "PAT" ANN SNYDER 8/5/1934 - 10/24/2013 Born August 5, 1934 in Chickasha, OK to Roy and Elsie Melton; Jesus took Pat to heaven on October 24, 2013 after a battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Pat loved life as a wife, mother, grandmother and teacher. She taught in Barstow then at Yucca Loma and Rio Vista Schools in Apple Valley. She volunteered at Zion Lutheran Church and School in Victorville where she was a member for many years. While raising her children, Pat served as a Cub Scout leader, Girl Scout leader, Sunday School teacher and 4-H leader for the Apple Valley Suzie Q's. She loved Bible Study with her seniors' group and for 7 years with Bible Study Fellowship. She enjoyed Bunco, Retired Teachers and Republican Women. Pat was blessed with a wonderful family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherwood "Woody" Snyder, her parents and her mother and father-in-law. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Eileen Snyder of Wichita Falls, Texas; her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Todd Fox of Apple Valley; her daughter and son-in-law Betsy and Rob Otte of Victorville; and daughter Susie Snyder of Apple Valley. Grandchildren are Captain Nicolas Snyder, serving at Peterson Air Force Base, and wife, Laura of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Sergeant Chris Fox serving at Fort Lewis, Washington with the U.S. Army; Eric Fox of Apple Valley; Gretchen and Kaitlynn Otte of Victorville; Hannah Snyder of Apple Valley and great granddaughter, Kairi Snyder of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and extended family Rusty, Melanie, Aleah and Willow Ellis of Riverside. Pat is also survived by her sister, Judy Baker of Seguin, Texas; nieces and nephews and many special friends. Our family would like to thank Dr. Kolavala and Nancy and Holly at his office, Dr. Siva, and Dr. Thakker for their years of caring for our mom. We would like to invite all friends to join us for the celebration of our mom's life at Zion Lutheran Church, 15342 Jeraldo Drive, Victorville with the Rev. Wally Quandt officiating. The service will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 10:00 am with inurnment immediately following at Victor Valley Memorial Park. Everyone is invited back to the church for fellowship and a light luncheon.
