PATSY DORENE MORRIS 5/4/1929 - 2/23/2014 Our beloved Patsy "Pat" Dorene Morris, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, on Sunday February 23, 2014. Born in Santa Rosa, California, on May 4, 1929, she spent 18 years being raised and schooled in many bay area cities including, Benicia, Sunnyvale, Castroville, Napa and graduated from high school in Salinas in 1948. Married on April 10, 1948, Pat spent 62 years with her life partner John Morris, who passed in March 2011. John & Pat spent 8 years at Ft. Irwin, before moving to their permanent home in Hinkley, where she had lived for the past 53 years. As a life-long Christian who loved the Lord, she attended Hinkley Bible Church regularly for 40 years. Her many church activities included being a Sunday school secretary, a wedding planner and a supplier of flowers for the church altar. She loved & was inspired by reading God's word, and was always there as a mighty prayer warrior for anyone. As a dedicated mother, she enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader for 10 years, serving 15 years on the Hinkley School PTA and working as a volunteer for Heart. She saw the good in everyone and she never met a stranger, always making sure you were never hungry, always serving as many people as she could, always wanting to make your day better by helping you. Her smile, her unfailing good nature and sense of humor, love of people and conversation, and willingness to participate in all activities endeared her to all who knew her. She loved her children, always spoiling her grandchildren and everybody elses children. She was always there to lift spirits when they were down. You could find her coloring with the kids, doing craft work or spending a day at shopping. Please note: She had a PHD in shopping. She was excellent as a homemaker, loved gardening, taking a nice walk and going out to eat at Rosita's, Red Lobster, Marie Callenders & Chilli's. She enjoyed a night of TV, watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Dancing with the Stars, NCIS, or USC college football or sometimes the Oregon Ducks. She was a chocolate lover too. She enjoyed the yearly trips with her loving sisters & families in Sonoma, CA., recently celebrating a family reunion this past December. Pat is survived by a daughter Marion Brick (her husband Anthony) of N.
