VINCENT ALFRED MCDONALD 5/28/1923 - 2/6/2014 Vincent Alfred Mcdonald was born in Holyoak, Mass. on May 28, 1923 and passed away on February 6, 2014. Wife: Marjorie Son: Scott Daughter: Kathy Grandchildren: Scotty, Malorie, Marty, Cody, Casey East Patterson N.J. Fireman and Ambulance Corps. 15 years. Honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy Seaman First Class (CB). Awards; Asiatic Pacific 1 Star, American Theater, Victory Medal, Honors of the Navy, WWII Awards. Retired U.S. Postal Service with 32 years. Victorville City Council for 10 years. In 1947 East Patterson N.J. helped form New Fire Company #4. Remained volunteer fireman until 1969 Medical Technician and Ambulance driver on call 24 hours a day. Attained rank of Captain and served as Battalion Chief and also served as Director of Red Cross and Cited for Outstanding Service. Served as Fire Advisory Committee as Vice Chairman for the City of Victorville. Was appointed for 3, 4 year terms from 1978 to 1990. Started the Fire Prevention Parade in Victorville in 1978. Served and awarded for devoted service to the citizens of Fairfield N.J. during flood disaster in 1968. Member of the Kiwanas, Mason's and the Lyons Club. Loved golfing and was a member of Apple Valley Country Club since 1970. Hole in one on hole number 2 at Apple Valley Country Club on January 20, 1988. Vince was a devoted Roman Catholic. Had a great sense of humor his whole life until the end, a very caring, helpful and loving man and father.
