Bobie Humphreys Obituary
Barbara Ann Humphreys "Bobie" age 73 passed away on January 30, 2010 from a lengthy illness at St. Mary Medical Center.
She was born May 11, 1936 in Waco, Texas and raised most of her life in Southern California.
Barbara met Archie Humphreys and was married to him for 57 years and a resident of the High Desert for 44 years!
Surviving Bobie is her Husband Archie Humphreys of Apple Valley, Son Alan Humphreys of Apple Valley, Daughter LeeAnn Jefferys of Corvallis, Oregon, Daughter, Karon Humphreys of Victorville, Grandsons Adam Jeffreys of Phoenix, AZ and Bryce Jeffreys of Corvallis, Oregon, Granddaughter Kim Leal of Chula Vista, and her Son-In-Law Brad Jeffreys of Corvallis, OR and Daughter-In-Law Tammy Humphreys of Apple Valley, her Aunt Merle (Vivian Bachofer) of San Antonio, TX, her Daughters JoEtta Jupe of San Antonio, TX, Nancy Myers of San Antonio, TX, Sons Randy Bachofer of San Antontio, TX, and Ronnie Bachofer of San Antonio, TX.
Preceding in death were her parents Katheryn and Travis Smith, known by most as "Kakaw and Papaw Smith."
She worked in the Bowling Industry in the Los Angeles area and then in Victorville, CA at Victor Bowl for 20 years.
Her family would like to thank the staff of St. Mary Medical Center, especially in the areas of Telemetry, ICU, Respiratory Therapy, Clergy Staff and Marilyn Drone. They were very supportive and very caring of her needs and ALWAYS went the extra mile to make sure she was comfortable. She loved them all!
Services will be held at the Roy Rogers Dale Evans Chapel at Sunset Hills, 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley Friday, February 5th at 4 p.m. A small reception will follow at the family residence.
A private burial will be on Saturday.
