DOYLE COLES Doyle A. Coles was born on April 14, 1928 in Lorraine, Texas. He passed away on April 17, 2012 in Victorville, California at the age of 84 after a long battle with cancer. As a young man, Doyle served in the Army after World War II. After being honorably discharged, he worked as a tune-up man at several Ford agencies in the Los Angeles area. He later owned and operated his own automotive repair business until he and his family moved to Victorville in 1966. For the first few years, Doyle worked for Heikes Cadillac. He opened Coles Automotive in 1969, where he specialized in tire sales, service, and wheel alignments. His sons, Edward and John Coles, continued operating the business as "Coles Brothers" after Doyle retired. In retirement, Doyle was an avid golfer and member of Apple Valley Country Club for many years. He attended California Southern Law School, graduating in June 1996, with the degree of Juris Doctor. Doyle is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jacquelin; son, John, and daughter-in-law, Denise; son, Edward; daughter, Carol, and son-in-law, Jim: and one sister, Joyce Fisher. He is survived by 7 grandchildren and many friends. Doyle was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Scarborough, and son, David Coles. Services were held Tuesday, April 24th at Sunset Hills Memorial Park. A memorial donation may be made to Visiting Nurse Association Hospice Services, 12421 Hesperia Rd., Suite 11, Victorville, CA 92395, in memory of Doyle.
