EARL CASIMER CONLEY JR. 4/27/1935 - 10/14/2013 Earl was born April 27th 1935 and went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 14th 2013. Born in Norfork, VA. into a Navy family. His father was the Orchestra Leader and a career Navy man. The family traveled extensively throughout his first 18 years of life. Earl owned several businesses in the High Desert, Denny's restaurant. The High Desert Motel and the Standard Gas Station on the 15 freeway and Stoddard Wells Rd., in the late 60's-early 70's. Sally's Dress Shop on 7th St. and National Stylists in V.V. Bought Murphy's Garage from (father-in-law) and owned it for 15 years. Earl, his wife and two daughters spent 3 years in Saudi Arabia in the mid 70's with Northrop corp. He was their Industrial Artist & the F-5 Records Keeper. He was a talented wood and metal artist as well as an oil painter. He loved to travel, go boating on the lakes, as well as racing cars. He was a "JACK OF ALL TRADES" & "MASTER OF MANY!!". Earl was a member of the Elks Club, Foot Printers & a past President of the Kiwianas. He was a generous and fair man. Earl fought a brilliant fight. He battled cancer for 25 years, from prostate to lymph and finally bone cancer. He was truly a miracle... The Dr's were surprised to see him survive so long with the odds against him! Earl leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Carmen Conley. His sister Rita Wilson and brother-in-law Mike Murphy. His 5 children: daughter Pamela Conley of Colorado, son: Earl (Daniel) Conley of Oceanside, daughter Collette Lopez of San Diego, daughter Tracy Duell of Apple Valley and daughter, caretaker and companion Andrea Conley Schlichting of Running Springs, CA. 10 grandchildren Justin, Katy, Joshua, Desirae, Zackary, Beth, Will, Nick, Cassandra and Alex; 2 great-grandchildren Joshua & Ezekiel. Last but not least...his loyal doggies, who never left his side: Pee-Wee, Ruby and Sammy 2! His soul is with the Lord now. He will be truly missed by all his family and friends. No one will ever take his place. Rest in peace... until we meet again. Many thanks to Gentiva Hospice staff. Earl's celebration of life service will be held at: Church of The Valley 20700 Standing Rock Apple Valley, CA 92307 on Friday Oct. 25th at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Becky Sage officiating. Reception to follow at the church in Hansen Hall.
