JEAN MCALISTER HALDEMAN 6/23/1925 - 10/19/2013 Jean was born in Chicago. Her father was an attorney. She graduated from Alhambra City High School in 1943. After high school she traveled abroad, stopping in Alaska and the far East. She came to the High Desert in the early 1980s and was part of the development of the Apple Valley area. She was also a member of the LDS Church. She was an advocate for senior citizens, children and animals. All the way up until her passing she was a voice for those who couldn't help themselves. She is survived by two sisters, her son Dwayne Haldemen, daughter Barbara Yentes and five grandchildren. As well as many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Forest Lawn 4471 Lincoln Ave. Cypress, CA 90630 in the Hope Chapel at 2:30PM on Oct. 26, 2013. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the LDS Missionary Fund.
