Nancee, Allison & Tim, We were privileged to know Mark while living in Victorville. The Mark we knew was caring & always giving. He spent innumerable hours helping V.V.H.S. band and I'll never forget his kindness when our son was ill during a band trip to Washington, DC. Mark left the group and took our son for medical attention. Mark, you will always have a special place in my heart. My thoughts & prayers are with all of you

Dear Allison, your father sounds like he was a wonderful man. I feel your pain in dealing with your loss. Like everyone keeps telling me about my dad, try & focus on the good memories and cherish them. My prayers are with you & your family at this time.

I remember hanging out in your back yard in San Jose in the 80's and Mark had a pet butterfly. It would come to him when he held his hand up. It was magical. I will always remember how he cared lovingly for my children as well as his own. And, I will always remember his love of music as a passion in his life. I hope all his family can be comforted by happy memories.

Dear Mark,
You are beaming now, the majesty of your love-filled life sings out strong from your brave, creative family despite the unbearable loss they feel.
Thanks for all you did here in education, technology, music and theater but mostly in family. The value of loving men sustaining families and communities cannot be overestimated.
To Nancee, Allison, Tim and all the family, I have found comfort in this particular passage at times of loss:
To the Living, I am gone,
To the sorrowful, I will never return;
To the angry, I was cheated.
But to the happy, I am at peace.
To the faithful, I have never left.
Talk to me, and I will hear,
your prayers, they comfort me,
your laughter makes me laugh,
but don't weep for me as I have my reward,
I am with the Father and he will never let me perish,
The Lord comforts me, and longs to comfort you.
So be happy my family and don't despair,
I am in good hands, waiting for the day when
the Lord calls you to come home.
Great Aunt Kiki and I send our prayers,
With love,
Lynda
