Rebecca Freire Obituary
Rebecca Rosita "Becky" Freire, 72, returned home to our Heavenly Father on Sept. 1, 2010. She was born in Needles, Calif., on May 8, 1938, and was raised in Barstow, Calif., before moving to Cypress, Calif. Throughout her life, Becky was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is remembered as a dedicated retired business owner, and beautician, for many supportive clients and co-workers. Although she is gone, she will not be forgotten in the hearts of all those who loved her and held her dear to their hearts.
Becky is survived by her son, Gilbert Freire Jr., and his spouse, Tatiana, and their children, Fabiana, Tess and Geronimo, of Nevada; as well as her loving daughters, Angel and Love Freire and son, Valentine Freire, of Cypress, Calif.; her brothers, Ernesto "Chavelo" Esquivel and his wife, Josie, of Visalia, Calif., Salvador Esquivel and Peter Esquivel, of Barstow, and Robert Esquivel, of Bakersfield, Calif.; her sisters, Belen "Angie" Esquivel, of Barstow, Rosario "Rose" Robles and her husband, Armando, and Irene Robles and her husband, Ignacio "Sonny"; sister-in-law, Stella Esquivel; as well as many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Becky was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gilbert Freire Sr.; and by her parents, Trinidad and Angela Esquivel; brothers, Trinidad "Ernie" Esquivel and Valentine "Joe" Esquivel; sisters-in-law, Elsie, Della and Corinne Esquivel; a niece, Jennifer Esquivel; and a nephew, Joey Esquivel.
The celebration of Becky's life will be remembered with a visitation time which will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, at Mead Mortuary, from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m. The commemorative funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at 10 a.m. She will be laid to rest at the Mt. View Memorial Park in Barstow.

I have a lifetime of memories and you will always be in our thoughts and prayers. You were like a second mother, not just a mother in law. I know you are still with us in our hearts, and that will have to do until we meet again. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family. I am only a phone call or prayer away.
