LAURA LEA THOMAS 1/31/1967 - 1/19/2014 Laura Lea Thomas, age 46, of Apple Valley, California, passed away on Sunday, January 19th, 2014 at her parent's home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona after a courageous battle with cancer. Laura was born on January 31st, 1967 to Duane and Patricia Davis in Colby, Kansas, the youngest of 5 children. Raised in Ft. Collins, Colorado, Laura moved with her parents after graduating from Battle Mountain High School in Vail, Colorado to Victorville, California. In 1991, on September 28th, Laura married Joseph Thomas in Hesperia, California, followed by the birth of their son Tanner Thomas, and daughter Amber Thomas. Laura leaves behind her parents, Duane and Patricia Davis of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, her husband Joseph Thomas of Apple Valley, California, and their two children, son, Tanner Thomas, her daughter, Amber Thomas, both of Apple Valley, California. Laura also leaves behind her brothers, Jay Davis of Wellington, Colorado, Jesse Davis of San Marcos, California, Jeffery Davis of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and sister, Dee Dee Davis of Laughlin, Nevada, as well as sister in-laws, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Throughout her life and subsequent battle with cancer, Laura was an inspiration to all who were blessed to have shared in her time here. Having met Laura was having your life forever altered for the better. Laura's memorial service and internment was a private event for immediate friends and family held on January 31st, 2014 celebrating her life on what was to have been her 47th birthday. Laura rests at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Apple Valley, California.
