Diane Blake
On March 16, 2010, Diane Blake went peacefully home to the Lord. She was born to Otho and Nellie Tomblin in Shamrock Okla., and grew up in Tuscon Ariz. She had three sisters and two brothers. In 1956 she married Donald C. Blake Sr. Donald and Diane had nine children and in 1974 they made their home in Barstow. 
Diane was a beautiful, kind, and loving woman. She was a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and worked extremely hard raising her family. She was an excellent cook and baker, who enjoyed gardening, canning and sewing. She was very industrious and an avid recycler. Diane was a very spiritual woman and had many gifts, and always prayed for, and cared about others. She had been deaf since the age of three and spoke sign language. Diane had a sweet, happy, countenance and carried herself with a great deal of dignity.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Sr.; and her children, Donald Jr. and his wife, Leslie, Patrick and his wife, Carole, Melissa Haefele and her husband, Paul, Michael and his wife, Joetta, Dennis and his wife, Karen, Cameron and his wife, Marylee, Matthew and his wife, Lucy, Jonathan and his wife, Wendy, and Susan Blake. Diane is also survived by 26 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, whom she cherished. She will be deeply missed by her entire family who love her dearly.
A memorial service will be held in her honor at 2 p.m. on Saturday March 20, 2010 at The New Life Fellowship Church on Main St.
