Ruth H. Frazier, 90, of Apple Valley, California, died May 7, 2010 in Hesperia, CA.
Ruth was born March 9, 1920 in Jordan, Montana, daughter of Horace and Clara Mull, she was the youngest of 8 children. In 1939, after her father died, she moved with her mother and brothers to San Jose, CA. While working for The Salvation Army, she met her first husband John Foster, in 1940. It was at a dance that she met her second husband, Carl E. Frazier. They married Feb. 14, 1976 in Las Vegas, NV and were very happily marred until his death June 6th, 2008. Together they enjoyed traveling to many of the western states; which included a trip home to Montana about once a year to visit family still living there. During the last few years, they joined an RV club, High Desert Road Runners. Ruth loved to take pictures on their trips and she keeps detailed photo albums of every trip; including lots of family and friends having fun together. Ruth was a long time member of the Humane Society of the US. Both Carl and Ruth loved animals, especially dogs; and over the years they raised many dog, with their last one, Angel, dying in 2009. Another of Ruth's favorite past-times was playing pinnacle; she was a member of several Card Clubs and Senior Centers over the years. Ruth had strong Christian beliefs and was an active member of Church of The Valley in Apple Valley for many years.
Surviving is her great niece Tina Love of Seattle, WA, Daughter Carla Smith of Corona, CA, Grandson Tim Smith of Apple Valley, CA.nephew Robert Strain of Apple Valley,CA, as well as many more nieces and nephews in Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, and California. Ruth was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend; she will be missed by all who knew her.
A Memorial Services was held on May 12 at her former residence, Rock Spring Retirement Community, in Apple Valley, with Rev. Becky Sage, from Church of The Valley, officiating. A private internment, beside her husband Carl, will be at Corona Sunnyslope Cemetery, in Corona, CA.
