Mr. Oscar C. Moser, 85, passed away May 31, 2010 in Apple Valley, CA.
Oscar was born December 8, 1924 in McLaughlin, South Dakota. He was a resident of California for 60 years residing in Victor Valley for 24 years.
He was a member of the Carpenter's Union for 62 years. He worked at Queen of the Valley Hospital for 15 years in West Covina, CA.
Oscar was a Deacon at Immanuel Baptist Church in 1956 in La Puente, CA. where he was a faithful and long term member and helped build the church. He served in the U.S. Army, 10th Infantry Division and was discharged July 31, 1946. He worked at the Queen of the Valley Hospital for many years and received a service award as the hospital "Santa Claus." He was the employee of the year from 1981-1982. Oscar received the Order of the Hammer and Nail award, June 1976 for his loyal and dedicated service.
Survivors include his spouse, Geraldine Moser, son, Randy Moser, daughter, Patricia Lawson, daughter-in-law, Betty Moser, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Oscar was preceded in death by his son, Stanley Moser.
Services are scheduled for Monday, June 7th. A visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Roy Rogers Dale Evans Chapel at Sunset Hills, 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley. Services will begin at 11:00 A.M. at Apple Valley Baptist Church, 22434 Nisqually Rd., Apple Valley,CA 92307 with Pastor Barry Stever officiating. Graveside services will follow at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 24000 Waalew Road, Apple Valley.
Donations may be made in honor of "Oscar C. Moser" to the Visiting Nurse Association, 12421 Hesperia Rd., Victorville, CA 92392.
