ROY EDWARD BRYANT 5/17/1932 - 7/11/2013 Roy Edward Bryant, 81, passed away on July 11, 2013 in Apple Valley, California. Roy was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on May 17, 1932 to Jack and Marion Bryant. Roy is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 60 years; Margaret Anne, his three sons; Tim, Michael and Ian, his two daughters-in-law; Nancy and Shelly, his four grandchildren; Wes, Jeff, Lauren and Andrew and a younger sister; Joyce and his three nieces; Diane, Janet and Paula, and his two great nephews; Ben and Luke. In 1958, Roy, Anne and their boys, Tim and Michael left Canada and began a new life in Ontario, California. In 1959 their third son, Ian was born. Roy worked in the newspaper business for over 40 years. For 33 years Roy was employed with the Progress Bulletin Newspaper which later merged to become the Daily Bulletin Newspaper as the Composing Room Supervisor. During his 33 years, Roy assisted in producing over 12,000 daily newspapers. After retiring from the newspaper, Roy took an active role as a partner in the family business, Rim Properties, along with Anne. They also enjoyed taking numerous cruises and traveling around the world with family and friends. He also enjoyed weekly golfing, fishing and bowling. He loved spending time at the beach with his family. Roy was a kind and gentle husband, father and grandfather and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life, Open House gathering will take place Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Mariposa Lodge, in Jess Ranch at 19311 Jess Ranch Parkway, Apple Valley CA 92308 from 3:00 PM - 6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to be given to the VNA of the Inland Counties Hospice in Victorville, CA; 12321 Hesperia Road, Suite 11, Victorville, CA 92395.
