EVELYN VAN HORN 5/5/1913 - 9/12/2013 Evelyn Van Horn went to Heaven on Thursday, September 12, 2013. She was born in Rosalee, Nebraska and moved to California when she was 18 years old. Evelyn married Ben Perry in 1935. She had one child, Jacqueline Perry. Evelyn worked in the banking industry most of her life. She retired from Security Pacific Bank. She moved from Huntington Park to Hesperia in 1975. She lived the rest of her life in Hesperia. Evelyn loved painting ceramics, soap operas, getting her hair and nails done and traveling back to her home state of Nebraska; but, above all else, she loved her daughter, grandchildren and their children. She spent much of her time babysitting and enjoying watching her babies grow. We were all fortunate to celebrate her 100th birthday at a surprise party with all of her loved ones in attendance. Nana will be missed terribly by all and fortunately, she enjoyed all of her 100 years. Evelyn is survived by her daughter Jacqueline Bailey and grandchildren, Vicki and Dennis Archer of Victorville, Terri and Mark Rand of Elko, NV and Karen and Dan Valdez of Hemet. She had been blessed with 12 great grandchildren and 11 great, great grandchildren.
