Elizabeth Call Obituary

Elizabeth Cowan Call, 87, of Waco, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013, in Waco. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.

Elizabeth was born March 27, 1926, in Whitney, one of three children, to Zollie and Nina Schmidt Cowan. Elizabeth graduated from Whitney High School and attended classes at Baylor University. She worked at the Cameron Company before marrying Dr. Charles A. Call.

She loved playing bridge, and the friends she made. She was a member of Austin Avenue United Methodist Church and was an active member of the Evans Class. Elizabeth volunteered for Meals of Wheels. She enjoyed painting, reading and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; infant son, Randy; brother, Sonny; and beloved sister, Wanda.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Carol Eve Call of Waco; her son, Charles Call and wife, Patricia, of Austin; and grandchildren, James Dalpee and Tara Scroggins.
