I'll bet none of you remember me, but I remember you and your wonderful parents. They were friends of my mom and dad, Lawrence and Norma Kruger, back when we were all kids. I think Daddy helped your parents after the fire when your house was re-built, and of course that was before all of you were born. Your parents were such fine people. Sincerely,

My deepest sympathy to you all. I remember Mr. Goates when he worked with my dad (Jimmy Nemmer), my brother (Jim Nemmer), my aunt (Alma Lee Nemmer)and of course Ms. Todar, Mr. Stanley and his son Bobby and Meryl (and many others) at Morris Jewelers for many years. Like many others I have fond memories of Mr. Goates. He was always such a sweet and fun loving person. I will always remember my dad coming home and telling me things that had happened at work. Most of the pranks involved Mr. Goates. What a fun place that must have been to work. I hope that you find comfort during this difficult time knowing that your loved one made special memories for so many others. May God bless you.

As a child we would sit in the living room of Uncle Everetts house and watch Mickey Mouse cartoons projected on the screen. At the end of the reel you would hear the film slapping away on the reel until it came to a stop. Uncle Everetts reel has finally come to a stop after 91 years of living, giving, & loving. He was a Rascal, a teacher and a wonderful man that will be missed by each of us in our own way. God please be with us all as we mourn the loss of our Father, Brother, Grandad,Uncle, and friend. The Goates Boys are all together again...
