Mallozzi, Giovanni  
Giovanni Mallozzi of Waltham, passed away peacefully late Sunday evening April 12, 2015 in his home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 94. Born on January 23, 1921 in Minturno, Italy; son of the late Antonio and Ermenia Mallozzi, Giovanni was raised in Minturno and has been a Waltham resident ever since immigrating to the United States with his wife in 1956. He proudly served with the Italian Army as a Radio Operator in Russia during World War II. As a young man Giovanni owned and operated Mallozzi Bike Shop in Minturno, Italy as well as sponsoring a bike racing team. After coming to the United States in 1956 he was employed as a Senior Machine Operator with American Paper of Framingham for 48 years. Giovanni was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and gardening. He enjoyed wine making and bowling. He was an avid and diehard Boston sports fan following all the local teams. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years Angela (Riscolo) Mallozzi, numerous cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and loving extended family. Dear brother of the late Gilda Vidrich and Pasquale Mallozzi. Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services from the Brasco & Sons Memorial Funeral Home, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Friday morning April 17th at 9:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Giovannis Life at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, WALTHAM at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum in Waltham. Visiting Hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Thursday April 16th from 4 | 8 p.m. Parking attendants will be on duty.
