Arthur C. Bergeron Sr.

Mr. Arthur C. Bergeron, Sr. of Waltham died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in the Reservoir Nursing Home in Marlborough. He was 93. Mr. Bergeron was born on July 30, 1920, and was a lifelong Waltham resident. Arthur was a World War Two veteran who served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a truck driver for the Raytheon Company for thirty years and was also a crossing guard in Waltham for sixteen years until his retirement in 2002. Arthur and his late wife, Marie C. (Aucoin) Bergeron belonged to the Couples Club at Saint Joseph's Church in Waltham where they were also members of the bowling league. He is survived by his children, Arthur C. "Buddy" Bergeron, Jr. and his wife, Kathleen, of Waltham, Donna M. Stearns and her husband, Brian, of Northborough, Mark J. Bergeron of Burlington, and Thomas M. Bergeron and his wife, Donna, of Marlborough, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Arthur was the brother of the late Paul Bergeron and Millie Kelly. Family and friends will honor and remember Arthur's life by gathering for calling hours on Sunday, September 8th, from 4-8 pm in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, (Rte. 20), Waltham and again on Monday at 9 am before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church, 311 River Street, Waltham, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am.
