Audrey J. Taylor Obituary
Audrey Jean (Baxter) Taylor, (93) passed away at her home in Sun City, AZ. She was born and raised in Waltham, Massachusetts, a graduate of Waltham High School and a member of the Beth Eden Baptist Church. Audrey was a trained and accomplished pianist who enjoyed studying and playing classical music and also served as pianist for the Beth Eden Baptist Church during Sunday services. Audrey completed business training after high school and was employed as an accountant for Keystone Financial Co in Boston during WWII and the post war years and then moved to Southern California in 1958 to pursue her dream of living near the blue Pacific ocean, sunshine and palm trees. She met Frank Taylor, a WWII and Korean war veteran and was married in Monterrey California in 1966. She worked in various accounting positions over the years and retired in 1996 from Golden West Mobile Homes in Santa Ana ,California. She resided in Orange, California until 2010 when she moved to Sun City Az to be close to her family. Audrey is survived by her son Mel Meter and his wife Lupe of Surprise Az, a grandson Tim Meter and his wife Jennifer of Surprise, AZ, a grandaughter Rachel and her husband Ryan McClung of Glendale AZ, a nephew Robert Nixon, grand-nieces Heather Craig and Deborah Cornwell of San Antonio, TX, and great grandchildren Ella, Chase and Ava McClung, Tim and Evan Meter. She is predeceased by her parents George and Pearl Baxter, her sister Gwen Nixon, a nephew Scott Nixon and her husband Frank Taylor. No memorial services are planned at Audrey's request. Final arrangements will be made thru Best Funeral Services in Peoria, AZ..
