Obituary Condolences

Christine Rizzo of Auburndale, passed away peacefully Monday evening April 1st, 2013 in her home surrounded by her loving family at the age of 83. Born on July 2, 1929 in Waltham; daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (DiGuisseppe) Rizzo, Christina was raised and lived most of her life in Waltham until moving to the Auburndale section of Newton in 1985. Christine attended Harvard, the International Institute of Boston and the New England School of Design. She was a self-employed Interior Designer for Residential and Commercial properties in New York, Florida & Canada. She worked for many years with Majestic Custom Furniture Design of Boston and Irving & Young Interiors. Devoted to her family and was passionate about giving to others, she was an active and valued member of the Regina Margherita Lodge of the Sons of Italy in Waltham and the Cape Ann Society. Her faith was an important aspect of her life being a past member of the Sacred Heart Church Holy Rosary Guild. She is survived by her devoted & loving siblings Angelina Musci of Waltham, Mimi Luca of Maynard, Santa Walazek of Auburndale and Salvatore Rizzo of Waltham. In addition she is survived by numerous cherished nieces, nephews, grand nieces & grand nephews. Dear sister of the late Josephine Furdon, Gaetano, Anthony and Basil Rizzo. Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend Funeral Services from the Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM on Saturday morning April 6th at 9:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Christines Life at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River St., Waltham at 10:30 a.m. Visiting Hours will be held in the Funeral Home on Friday April 5th from 4 | 8 p.m. Parking attendants on duty. Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Sacred Heart Youth Ministry, 311 River St, Waltham, MA 02453.
