Josephine A. Ravesi of Waltham died peacefully, Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 84. Born in Boston on May 24, 1928, to the late Thomas and Catherine (Randazzo) Ravesi, she was a life-long resident of Waltham. She was a graduate of Waltham High School and Bentley College where she earned her degree in Accounting. She worked for many years as the treasurer of Waltham Grinding Wheel before retiring in 1990. Josephine loved following all of the Boston area sports teams, especially the Red Sox. In her spare time she enjoyed going to Bingo and playing cards. She most of all enjoyed going out with her many friends and family. She is survived by her two loving nieces Elaine (Bonica) Aucoin and her husband Michael of Waltham, and Diane (Bonica) Annese and her husband John of Newton her great-nieces Gina Annese of Newton, Lisa Moreau and her husband Ryan of Dracut, Michelle Aucoin of Waltham, Stacy Annese of Florida and Nicole Annese of Newton, and her great great-nieces and nephews Hailey, Gianna, Zachary, Jonathan, Angelo, and Lia. Josephine was the sister of the late Anna Bonica, Angelina Ravesi, and the baby Joseph Ravesi. Funeral services were held at the Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., WALTHAM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Josephine's life at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River St., Waltham, at 12 noon.
