Marguerite N.L. Connor, age 83, longtime resident of Waltham, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 21, 2012 surrounded by loved ones in the peace of her own home. Born in Belmont on September 25, 1929, she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine OCallaghan, sister of late Eileen Jefferson and Donald OCallaghan and predeceased by her brother Thomas E. Sonny OCallaghan. Marguerite was a beloved and devoted mother and grandmother and her great enjoyment was spending time with her family. She loved gardening, baking, traveling to Italy and Ireland, quilting and helping others. Marguerite worked at the Waltham Council on Aging and the former Waltham Hospital. She is survived by her three daughters: Catherine Donegan and her husband Andrew of Somerville, Marguerite Peggy Connor and her partner Summer of Upper Marlboro, MD and Caroline Connor of Lincoln; her cherished grandchildren, Jillian, Tara, Jessica, Daniel, Christine, Molly and Jack; great-grandchild Scarlett and loving dog, Greta. A private service will be held at Belmont Cemetery.
