Mary A. Davies of Framingham, MA died on December 8, 2012 at Framingham Union Hospital after a short illness. She was 65. Mary worked for many years in the insurance industry in the greater Boston area, including for Willis Corroon, the George Lawrence Insurance Agency and Dwight Rudd & Co., before she retired for reasons of disability in 2005. She also taught courses, including introduction to property and to claims and an agent/brokering licensing course, in the Continuing Education department at Northeastern University. Mary was active in the National Association of Insurance Women and the Massachusetts Association of Insurance Women, and greatly valued the friends she made there. Mary was born in Syracuse, NY to Vincent and Alice Davies. She graduated from LeMoyne College in Syracuse in 1970. She is survived by her brother, Donald V. Davies of Kennett Square, PA, and two sisters, Aileen D. Drosendahl of Glenshaw, PA and Anne D. Smith of Arlington, VA. Her sister Jean T. Kokernak died in April 2012. Mary is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews and 10 great nieces and nephews. Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Marys Life at St. Marys Church, 133 School St., Waltham, MA on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery, 203 Prospect Street, Waltham.
