Grace M. Goudy, 84, of Wapakoneta, died 2:28 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016, at St. Rita's Medical Center Hospice. She was born Dec. 16, 1932, in Roundhead, Ohio, the daughter of James and Emily (Shockey) Chamberlain, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 5, 1955, she married James D. Goudy, and he died Aug. 3, 2002.|
Survivors include two sons: Jay (Ann) Goudy, Trotwood, Ohio, Mike (Gloria) Goudy, Wapakoneta; four grandchildren: Jeremy (Sherri) Goudy, Bill (Jamie) Goudy, Kelly (Sam) Miller, & April (Chris) Coulter; four great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Kieran, Garet and Emily; two nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ada Runyon.
Grace was a homemaker and had worked in the housekeeping department at Wapakoneta Manor for 33 years of service. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta. She enjoyed shopping, traveling to the Smokey Mountains, and fishing, but she most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2015, at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, 1102 Lincoln Ave., (St. Rt. 501) Wapakoneta, with Rev. Sean Wilson officiating. Burial is to follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Wapakoneta Manor.
