Gregorio "George" Garcia Obituary
Gregorio 'George' Garcia, age 80, of Cridersville passed away peacefully at his residence on Dec. 27, 2016. He was born Oct. 30, 1936, in San Antonio, Texas, to the late Gregorio and Guadalupe Aragon Garcia. He married Cecilia Alvarez Nov. 23, 1962, and she survives in Cridersville.

George retired from General Dynamics and was a very active member of Rousculp Church of Christ. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and had many hobbies. He enjoyed canoeing, camping, traveling, photography and going to amusement parks. He loved to cook and visit people in nursing homes. He adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was always learning and researching something either on the computer or at the library.

Additional survivors include children: Blanca (Nick) Garcia-Gutierrez of Fostoria, Cynthia Garcia of Sidney, John (Jen Faber) Garcia of Cridersville and Debra (Chris Bayliff) Garcia-Aragon of Cridersville; seven grandchildren: Karrah (Jeff) Kittle, Justene Fletcher, A.J. (Erika) Schoenlein, Adam Fletcher, Adriana McDaniel, Jonathon McDaniel and Juliana Garcia; eight great-grandchildren: Jacob Helsel, Janessa Limon, Noah Helsel, Tony Limon, Jasmin Limon, Aaliyah Fletcher, Jayci Satterfield and Ayden Schoenlein; Siblings:  Virginia Olivas of Center Point, Texas, Raymond (Barb) Garcia of New Riegel, Ohio, Ketta Garcia of Fostoria, Antonia Ochoa of Okeechobee, Fla., George Garcia of Fostoria, Ohio, and Juanita Sanchez of Toledo, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Thurman Grass officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery near Uniopolis.
