Ronald D. Wilson

- 1951 - 2013 -

Ronald David Wilson, 62, Warrenton, passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, Thursday, May 23, 2013.

Ron was born May 11, 1951, in Henderson, Ky., to Jesse James Wilson and wife Marie, nee Gibson.

He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Delores Kay Blanchard, Dec. 26, 1970, in Shively, Ky. They celebrated 42 years of wonderful marriage together.

Ron retired from the UAW Local 2250 after 28.1 years of faithful service. He loved to fish whenever he got the chance. Ron was a songwriter and guitar player who enjoyed working with electronics and programming robots. He loved being with all of his family, especially his grandchildren.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Kay Wilson; mother, Marie Wilson; two sons, David Scott Wilson, Warrenton, and Jesse Alan Wilson and wife Laura Witter, Spring Hill, Kan.; one daughter, Sheri Jenelle Wilson Vogt and husband Brian, Warrenton; six grandchildren, Brianna, Alex, Chris, Zach, Annika and Karissa; many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Wilson; and one brother, Larry Wilson.

Visitation was held Sunday, May 26, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 27, at the funeral home.

Burial followed in Lippstadt Cemetery.

Memorials to the SSM Cancer Center, in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main St., Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred.
