Verneda Caroline Schloeman, 95, Jonesburg, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Jonesburg Nursing and Rehab.
Verneda was born April 7, 1918, in Northern Warren County, the daughter of Benjamin Bebermeyer and wife Anna. She was a homemaker and charter member of Warrenton Wesleyann Church.
Verneda was united in marriage to William Schloeman July 25, 1939. The couple were married for 71 years. Verneda was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved family time, attending church and cooking.
She is survived by two sons, Norman Schloeman and wife Janice, Jonesburg, and Michael Schloeman and wife Jennifer, Warrenton; one sister, Margaret Vahle, Warrenton; one grandson, William David Schloeman and wife Sue, Warrenton; two granddaughters, Michelle Palmer and husband Jim, Warrenton, and Anita Kay Fox and husband Mark, Wright City; other relatives and many friends.
Verneda was preceded in death by her husband, William Schloeman; parents, Benjamin and Anna Bebermeyer; two brothers, Benjamin and Calvin Bebermeyer; and two sisters, Emmaline Graf and Mary Jane Webb.
Visitation was held Wednesday, April 2, from 10 a.m. to noon at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.
A funeral service followed at noon at the funeral home.
Interment was in Zoar Church Cemetery, Wright City.
