Willard Julius Louis Schroeder, 79, Warrenton, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital.

He was born June 28, 1934, in Treloar, the son of Hubert Schroeder and wife Dina. Willard was united in marriage to his wife Bernice Sept. 29, 1956, at Immanuels United Church of Christ, Holstein; they were married for 57 wonderful years. Willard worked for Union Electric for 36 years as a line foreman. He enjoyed collecting, fixing and driving Allis-Chalmers tractors, and working on the family farm. Willard was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ and served on the church council.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice Schroeder, Warrenton; three daughters, Deborah (John) Gerdeman, Brenda (Shane) Bunge, all of Warrenton, and Lynn (significant other, Edward Meyer) Pullen, Ellisville; one sister-in-law, Kathy Schroeder; four grandchildren, Michael (Jessica) Gerdeman, Sara Gerdeman, both of Warrenton, Blake Pullen, and Ashley Pullen, both of Ellisville; one great-grandson, Luke Gerdeman; other relatives and many friends.

Willard was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Dina Schroeder; two brothers, Elroy and Melvin Schroeder; one sister-in-law, Virginia Schroeder; and one goddaughter, Sheila Kopmann.

Visitation was held Tuesday, April 1, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton.

A funeral service was held Wednesday, April 2, at 11 a.m. at Friedens U.C.C., Warrenton.

Interment followed at Lippstadt Cemetery, Warrenton.
