Miss you more as the years go by Bill. Your spirit lives on and I will never forget the times we shared together. You gave me a most powerful gift -- to enjoy life and never take a day on this earth for granted. To the Mitchell family: I hope that you are all safe and doing well. Bill never stopped talking about all of you. Fondly, Elizabeth Fournier

I remember hanging out at the Mitchell’s all through high school. There was a zipline of sorts and I’ll always remember his laugh and smile! So sorry I didn’t get to know you as the amazing adult you became. Love to you all!

I have so many woodley gardens memories with the Mitchell family (and sporting hs) and would love to dig up my summer swim team albums and post a few pics here. Stay tuned on that one. I can’t believe it’s been almost 10 years since his passing. I’m sure it never gets easier for you guys but I’m thinking of you all here on the west coast in California and all of Billy’s fun summer antics and contagious smile. He is def missed!

I will always remember Billy’s warm smile and personality. Whenever I saw him, which was way too infrequently, he was always so sweet and seemingly happy to see me. Always anxious to find out how my family was doing. And he was always my favorite to dance with at every wedding or event. Such the dance moves. I miss his presence every time I get together with my cousins. Our family as well as the entire world lost a beautiful soul. ❤

It’s 2021- don’t be shy. Say a little something or share a memory about Billy! His family lives to see it. I love that he was always on the floor rolling around with his nieces and nephews, wrestling, playing hide and seek, or just hanging out with the babies down at their level. And the guy was not afraid to act silly!

Dear Mitchell family,
It's been four years and we will never forget Billy. He was such a great "big brother" to both Spencer and Hilary. I can still see him playing basketball with them in your driveway, and the way he watched out for them on Halloween, back at the "Mitchell Mansion", after trick or treating So many great memories of Billy and your wonderful family on Wintertgreen Terrace where you were all the best role models for our young growing family. May God bless you all. You gave so much to everyone your lives touched. This should never happen to anyone, least of all to such a giving, caring, generous and spiritual family. I always said that all of you were going straight to heaven. Your family inspired me so much that I became a Catholic and I chose Kathy as my sponsor. My prayers are with all of you for healing. Thanks Meg for keeping this guest book on permanately and thank you for the memories Mitchell family. Billy made a difference in our lives.

Yay, Megan, for giving us another chance to remember our guy. I think of him every day and almost always end up laughing out loud. His antics were legendary, like his talent for making up games and getting anyone in earshot to play them - even strangers.
I'd look around at a party and see 5 guys in a circle blinking their eyes wildly and I'd just know Billy was responsible. He'd sit down at a table and start fidgeting with a bottle cap, your keys, a used napkin. Next thing you know, objects would be bouncing off the table and into any available receptacle - an empty beer can, the guacomole dip, your shirt pocket. I won't even go into his peculiar rules and unique methods of scoring.
That's our boy, right?

Billy

Dear Mitchell Family -
I am so sorry for your tragic loss. I only knew Bill for a short time, but he was always kind, generous, had a smile on his face, and offered a warm greeting. Even with my limited exposure to him I know this world has lost someone special. He will be in my prayers for a long time as will your family. May time bring you enough peace to smile more than cry when you think of him.
